What Could Be

I am publishing some drawings and computer models of what the Winter Hawks envisioned for the Memorial Coliseum.  They were hoping to not only enlarge the ice to a regulation-sized sheet, but also to add 2 levels of sky box suites, with restaurants above.  These drawings are shown here publicly for most likely the first time as these handouts were only available as far as I know during the Portland city council meeting in 2003 when ideas for the Coliseum were being put forth.

I give full credit to the Portland Winter Hawks organization for authoring and providing this material.   Sorry for the bad scans :)

  1. Wow, these renderings are spectaculor! Why haven't these been seen, much less, constructed before/yet? This pin-the-tail-on-the-sports-venue is growing most tiresome. It is time to give the Memorial Coliseum and the Winter Hawks the respect they deserve. Both have deep roots in our city's history.
